Over the July 4th weekend, my family and I were in Canyon Lake City, TX for a vacation. We arrived Thursday afternoon just as the rain began to fall—completely unaware of what we were about to witness over the next 48 hours.
That evening, our phones lit up with weather alerts, and they didn’t stop. The rain kept pouring, and by Saturday morning, we woke up to devastating news and heartbreaking images all over social media and the news. Though we were safe and not directly impacted, what we saw and felt has forever changed us.
Being so close to Kerrville and Hunt counties, watching the water levels rise with terrifying speed, and knowing how many precious lives were lost in an instant… my heart will never forget that weekend.
As we continue to pray for the families who lost loved ones and those who have lost everything, I felt led to create a special pendant—one placed on my heart by the Lord. All proceeds from this raffle will go directly to the flood victims or an organization providing aid.
